Thank You for Joining Us in Celebration at our Gala Event
The REAS Foundation (partial Board photo to right) would like to extend its deep gratitude to all who attended/supported our successful Gala Wine/Beer Tasting event this past Thursday. Weeks of hard work and planning by Board members and community supporters, resulted in an evening to remember.
It was a great night from beginning to end, accented with beautiful REAS Foundation embossed wine glasses created and donated by Mr. Bill Muir for our guests.
The attendance was perfect, the food wonderful, the wine & beer selections outstanding, the praise from attendees phenomenal, and the ambiance created by the Publick House simply spectacular.
It was thrilling to experience our first true fundraiser, and no better location could have been chosen than the historic Publick House Inn. Mike Harrington – Development Manager and Mike Glick – General Manager, spared nothing in supporting our efforts and in creating a spectacular evening. We, as a community, are privileged to have such strong support by, and partnerhsip with, the he Publick House.
It truly fitting, that one of Sturbridge’s most historic locations is so connected to our community efforts on behalf of Sturbridge seniors. We extend our deep gratitude for their significant contributions, which will ensure our ability to provide additional assistance to Sturbridge seniors.
As well, we extend our sincere thanks to Mike Cimini and the staff from Yankee Spirits whose generous support and outstanding service, provided the perfect illustration of “Sturbridge People – Helping Sturbridge People”. From the first day our community-centered efforts went live, Mike has been one of our biggest supporters, pledging his organization’s assistance without hesitation.
We are extremely fortunate to have two such longstanding community “institutions” - the Publick House and Yankee Spirits - contributing to the success of our efforts.
Certainly, we are indebted to Brian Treitman of BT’s Smokehouse, who supplied an array of incredible food samplings that catered to every palate preference. Brian’s contributions were the perfect compliment to the delicious food offerings of the Publick House. What an incredible team the Publick House Chef and Brian made, as they provided the perfect balance of taste, culture, and creativity.
Additionally, we surely recognize that the outstanding service and samplings Pioneer Brewing Company, J. Polep Distribution Services, and Gritty McDuff’s, who provided our guests with exactly what we promised them, great tastes and treats from “around the corner and around the world”. The efforts and contributions of these purveyors created the perfect balance to an incredible evening.
Last, but by absolutely no means least, each of us is indebted to Mr. Kit Randall who created an aura of beauty, wonder, reflection, and energy with an evening of incredibly perfect music. Each of us no doubt understands, that the very soul of an event is often given birth through the essence of its music. Kit’s selection of musical offerings gave birth to a soul that filled the room with the very essence of what and who we are. It is an art form to create the right “spirit” of an event; Kit is surely an artist.
It was a privilege for us be in attendance with so many supporters and to share our joint success with such an incredible group of people. Our deepest gratitude to all of you who shared the evening with us, whether in person, or in spirit.
